Got a call from a head hunter today looking for a 6mnth - 1 yr contract ME to fill a position here in STL.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
Candidates must have 2-7 years, of experience in the design of chemical process plants. Candidates must have experience in systems design, writing equipment specifications, performing technical bid evaluations, creating P & IDs, and performing engineering calculations. They should be familiar with pumps, compressors, steam generation equipment, rotating equipment, heat exchangers and other process and utility systems equipment.
Candidates must have demonstrated ability to interface with a multi-discipline team as well as equipment vendors; must have good organizational and communication skills. Candidates must be proficient with current PC software.
Duration: 3 to 6 months with possible extension.
