Hi guys,

I am a graduate student and now I work in a architectural consulting firm in CA. I plan to take PE power exam in October 2017.

I am really interested in building electrical design field. That is why I prefer to spend time reading power engineer book as a hobby.

Therefore, I really want to review this exam step by step.Do you have any advice for me to prepare?

For PE power exam's measurement and instruction part, could you recommend some reference books for me to read?

1.1 Measurement and Insturction

1.1.1 Instrument transformers

1.1.2 Wattmeters

1.1.3 VOM metering

1.1.4 Insulation testing

1.1.5 Ground resistance testing

Thanks a lot!

Protective Relaying by Blackburn will cover much of this with the practical applications, but will cover it in far more detail than is useful for working practice questions that most of the publishers put out.
