Lead Process Engineer – with LNG knowledge

Do you want to be part of a growing team working on the most challenging Oil & Gas projects? Do you want to contribute to the expanding of LNG technical knowledge in Ramboll? Do you want to be part of multidisciplinary projects? Then we might have the right job for you.

Technical expert and a lead process engineer
As a lead process engineer one of your roles will be to act as lead engineer on multidisciplinary projects. As part of this, you will become a valued sparring partner with crucial technical insight. In this role, you will act as supervisor for a team of around 10 process engineers and you will liaise with other disciplines to ensure design consistency. Approximately 50% of your time will be used on technical tasks such as review of process design documents and calculations.

We offer you the opportunity to work with tasks such as:

-Coordination of technical information between disciplines, internally and externally towards clients
-Supporting the project management team in planning, client interfacing and identification of technical issues that could delay progress and have an impact on project budgets
-Perform design review tasks
-Review of process design including process descriptions, simulations and heat and mass balances
-Review and preparation of process and utility flow diagrams, as well as piping and instrumentation diagrams
-Review and specification of process equipment, such as separators, compressors, valves and pumps
-Participation in proposal preparation

Outgoing and an emphatic sparring partner
It comes naturally to you to set clearly defined objectives, to plan activities and projects well in advance and to take account of possible changing circumstances. As a person you have a good overview when working on several projects and at the same time you are able to stay focused on quality and deadlines. You have the ability to communicate clearly in a positive manner and you provide constructive feedback when working with your colleagues. It is important that you are talented in establishing good relationships with clients and colleagues and that you relate well to people at all levels.

To succeed in the role, you need the following competences:

-Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical engineering
-Min. 10 years of experience within the oil and gas industry
-Min. 5 years of experience as a senior and lead engineer with tasks such as:
-Feasibility, concept and FEED studies
-Supervision, review and check of work carried out by other engineers
-Experience with multidisciplinary projects, preferably with international projects
-Previous work on small-scale LNG  projects is an advantage
-Proficient in English
