Hi, I'm a Korean electrical engineerer working in construction electrical engineering.

I was always interested in working abroad, especially in U.S.

I don't know if I can get some career advice on how should I and What shoul I do. And if it is possible I want to know how is the working enviroment there.( salary, treatments) Any suggestion would be very appreciated. Thnak you.

What higher education degrees do you currently have? Are you looking to stay in the same field? Salary is very dependent on what you do and who you work for (company size). The US economy is very much down right now, as I'm sure most of the world is too, so finding a job at the current time will not be easy unless you have very good qualifications.

One source is to check the trade publications in your field. If they carry "want ads", it will give you a feel for what types of positions are available and where the jobs are located.

If you know exactly what you want (and to get a good job, you should), you can get familiar with the specific companies in your field and start pinging them for openings. Hit the HR department & company website looking for opportunities.

Thanks for your sincere reply. My current education status is B.A. and I'm trying to stay in the same field( construction electrical engineerer). I'm currently working for Hyundai Cunstruction company building inteligent building system, it is considered one of the major companies we have in Korea. However, my dream is to work abroad and I want to stay in the same field for the reason of good salary(?) and active working enviroment. I'm looking 5 years ahead of me, and trying to build better qualification as possible. What should I do??
