Ideal Transformer

In general ideal transformer is a type of transformer which has practically no loss . Since we are talking about the loss of transformer we need to know what are the losses of a transformer occurs .

There are couple of types of losses of transformer .They are :-

 • Hysteresis loss in transformer
 • Eddy current loss in transformer
 • Copper Loss In Transformer
Thus for ideal Transformer all these losses are Negligible .

The concept of ideal transformer is an imaginary thing since there is no suck kind of transformer in actual condition. Since there is always some losses in secondary winding when we trying to step up or step down voltage level using transformer . Thus the concept of ideal transformer is an standard thing for comparing other transformers with it.
