Hello,

I work as an electrician. After a number of different careers, I went back to school and may try for an engineering degree.

My spouse said that if I didn't slow down, she would leave. Certainly will miss her.

Best of luck with your change in professions! Engineering is very rewarding but definitely frought with tough/frustrating moments. I would say it is very well worth the effort if you are interested in challenges!

As far as your wife is concerned ... coming from a guy at the end-game of a divorce, I would say this: you have to make yourself happy first and then concern yourself with those around you (especially wife). If you go through life feeling unhappy with where you are at you will end up with the same result except you will be miserable during the ride.
