Is anyone familiar with what the policies are if in GA if u decide not to take the PE exam on the next offering date?

I did not make the April 2010 exam and i will like to skip the November 2010 and take it again in April 2011.

I could not find any helpful information on the website.

Thanks

I think the typical protocol for GA is that once approved to sit for the exam you are given four consecutive opportunities to take the exam. If you decide not to sit for an exam offering you are not entitled to another offering without reapplying to the state board.

i.e. if you submitted an application and were granted approval to sit for the exam this past April as your first offering you should have three more opportunities to take the exam without reapplying to the GA board, Fall 2010, Spring 2011 & Fall 2011. If you skip the Fall 2010 you would only have the Spring & Fall of 2011 exam offering left to take the exam without reapplying to the GA board.

i have known a few people that were successful in getting one bumped if they had a good reason, the two I knew of were military deployments and a pregnancy due date the week of the exam
