The Wolfram Alpha site says 9 as well.... http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=6%2F2%281%2B2%29Wolfram Alpha considers that implied multiplication precedes division, e.g. 2x÷2x gives 1 instead of x² [5], except where parentheses are adjacent, e.g. 48÷2(9+3) gives 288 instead of 2.
