I've been using Crane to find my K factor for these type of problems, but these values are not consistent with some of the practice problems (i.e. Six minutes, Das Review)? Which source should I rely on for K values?? Perry's?? CERM??

If the problem doesn't give specific values, you should be fine using any source you're comfortable with... it will get you close enough to the correct answer. I like Crane's or the CERM. I also likes tables and nomographs...

 
Either would work, as long as you are using them correctly.

But to keep you from confusing yourself, try to use the same reference each time. You don't want anything to add to your doubt on test day.
