Job Title = Field Service Engineer IV
Education Required = Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline
Experience Required = Minimum of 6+ years of experience with water-related operations
Position Description = The Field Service Engineer will possess knowledge of water treatment equipment and is able to
commission, troubleshoot and operate evaporators, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, micro-filtration, softening, filtration and
distribution systems. In this role, you will commission water treatment systems to completeness. In this role, you will:
Core Responsibilities
Interface with Customer and Engineering to work with water treatment projects
Support commissioning, start-up and operation of water treatment facilities
Commission, troubleshoot and operate evaporators, reverse osmosis (RO) systems, micro-filtration, softening, filtration
and distribution systems
Perform operating experience with water treatment equipment including; evaporators, crystallizers, reverse osmosis
(RO) systems, micro-filtration, clarification and conventional filtration
Review construction installation of water treatment systems to determine completeness
Create proposals for system optimization and/or improvements based on your recommendations and
recommendations of others
Generates new business and ensures growth of existing accounts
Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs
Researches and presents reports showing potential customers the cost benefit of purchasing company products or
services
Provides technical training to clients and communicates customer feedback for future product developments
Uses technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build sales
Be able to read P&ID and PFD documentation a must
Perform strong PC skills including experience with MS Office Suite
Possess basic water treatment chemistry knowledge and communicate that information to others
Skilled knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics is an advantage
Perform remote verbal and written direction and execute the directions
Be able to communicate technical and commercial issues with contractors and client
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Ability and willingness to travel as required, assume full-time
Ability to perform direct hands-on diagnostics and repairs (using hand tools, hand instruments, meters, PLC
programming, etc.)
Additional Desired Skills
Allen Bradley control system, Rosemount instrumentation experience
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, peers, clients, and
customers.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several
abstract and concrete variables
Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as water treatment chemistry calculations, determination of test
reliability and validity, analysis of budgets, and monitoring Time & Material (T&M) contract costs
Basic knowledge of rotating equipment, centrifugal pumps, chemical addition pumps and centrifugal compressors, is an
advantage
Fluency in speaking and understanding any other foreign languages
Location = Home-based; 80%+ Travel
