Position Title = Engineering Coordinator – Pharmaceutical

Education Required = BSME

Years Experience Required = 10+

Position Description = This position reports directly to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager and acts as the team

leader to the engineering personnel, coordinating all activities and assigning tasks respectively as well as following through

to see that they are completed to industry and company operating standards to keep the plant (Pharmaceutical ) up and

running efficiently to GMP bulk API manufacturing standards.

Responsibilities

Observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures.

Maintain high commitment to quality, thoroughness and efficiency, monitor department production metrics to pinpoint

trends and shifts.

Divides and prioritizes Work Orders to Engineering associates

Researches, prices and obtains supplies for Engineering Department and personnel

Ensures completion and status of short and long term preventative maintenance for all equipment

Collects proposals and schedules contract labor

Coordinate qualifications of new programs, processes and equipment.

Supervises the installation and assembly of new equipment

Assists in identifying and eliminating waste in start-up and legacy processes

Implements and monitors SPC and program metrics to ensure consistent process control

Tracks and documents processes to ensure the products can be consistently produced to meet engineering

requirements.

Solves problems using technical data and statistical methods

Maintains tracking and reporting activities as part of the overall Engineering Skills Development Program

Leads the development of the Engineering skills baseline and periodic skills assessment

Researches, develops, and implements best practices in systems and automation

Other Requirements

Familiarity with organizational policy deployment and enterprise excellence objectives

Understanding of project management and is accountable for maintaining project schedule, cost, scope, quality, and

risk for all assigned projects.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities.

Able to write operating procedures and technical specifications.

Supports Process Improvement teams and Process Improvement work stream and cross functional teams

Participates and/or lead CI activities and the ability to learn and apply Six Sigma as required

Thrives in a fast-paced environment and works at a quick steady pace to accomplish tasks in an efficient manner

Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned

Ability to fill in for Department Manager as required.

Knowledge of process manufacturing field instrumentation, technology and batch process manufacturing expertise in

all of the following project phases:

GMP documentation,

procurement,

detailed design generation,

implementation,

system integration,

Testing and commissioning.

Six Sigma - Lean or Green Belt Certification

Proven experience with the Allen Bradley PLC.

Proven experience with any of the following DCS Systems: Rosemount RS3 and DeltaV.

Proven experience with the Emerson DeltaV HMI software packages.

Practical working knowledge of the A.P.I. process systems with 5 years of documented experience
