I took the SE1 in April and failed. Now I am debating whether it even makes sense to take the SE1 again in Oct since they are switching the format in 2011.

I am thinking I should just take the Civil with structural afternoon. I would still have to take the 16hr exam if I ever wanted to become an SE, which I have no desire to do right now.

My only issue is that I graduated with an Architectural Engineering degree, so I have no background in some of the topics on the civil exam. My background is purely structural.

Anybody taking the SE1 in October?

I have to do more research, but I am thinking to hold off on SE until spring 2011 because of the change. Seems a bit screwy how its gonna work this fall.
