I totally agree that PE exam result is not a way to tell who is a better engineer.
However, I think it is a good idea to know which subject actually contributed more for passing the exam. I did my bachelor’s in Agricultural engineering, my masters and PhD in Civil engineering/ Water& Eniv. I never took any of advanced classes in construction, structure, or geotechnical; I took the basic classes though (strength of material, soil science, statics, engineering economy...). I know that I am confident in the water resources; my work for the last 4 years has been in hydrology and hydraulics. So I would like to see if my studying of the other topics just improved my knowledge in them.
