The worst part is that this is becoming an annual occurrence.  I know cranes are subject to inspections etc. but they may need to look into regulating this much more.

SNAPE I think a quick Google search and you'll see how frequent crane collapses in the densely populated/trafficked parts of Manhattan have become.  

RG I won't go on the record to say you're right but it's certainly a no-brainer that it's in the benefit of Unions / Builders to have minimal inspections on cranes.
