The correction factor for N value, SQRT( (2000/efective stress) )

does the 2000 have unit? I thought it had unit of stress so this factor is without unit

but in PPI exam cafe online questions, Geotech AM question number 21, they took this 2000 without a unit... are they wrong?

 
It is psf. 2000 psf is approx 1 std. atm, which is taken as the normalizing pressure.

Not kPa. If it was kPa, the number would be approx 100 (since 1 std. atm = 101.3 kPa)
