The company has recently moved into a modern Head Office / Distribution centre on a forward thinking business park in Watford and also has a large production facility in Cricklewood, London where it has had a presence since it's incorporation in 1936.

Job Description
Contactum continues to enjoy strong growth both within the UK and Overseas, and with ambitious plans to further develop the business has a vacancy for a Quality Manager to help shape that development.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following....
Drive a quality culture in the business and ensure it maintains its ISO9001 accreditation;
Making sure that manufacturing or production processes meet international and national standards;
Working with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers;
Ensuring any complaints or failures have the appropriate remedial action taken;
Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operating staff;
Working across all departments to help facilitate process improvement & identify training needs ;
Setting up and maintaining controls and documentation procedures;
Monitoring performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports;
Reporting to Senior Management on adherence to QMS
The Successful Applicant
As the Quality Manager you will understand operational failings within the business and be able to support the relevant stakeholders in embedding the root cause solutions that are sustainable rather than quick fixes. You will be results driven and will have a proven track record of driving businesses to a right first time culture of quality.
As the Quality Manager, you will have a proven track record within quality assurance gained within a manufacturing environment. Although not essential, a working history within the Electrical sector would be advantageous.
You will have a working knowledge of ISO9001 as a minimum as well as a proven track record of applying the most applicable parts of a QMS to meet business, customer and regulatory requirements.
You will be able to demonstrate a track record of quality delivery and improvement as well as a strong ability to influence at all levels within an organisation.
