So here is the story. I am licensed in California and returned to Georgia a couple of years ago. I applied for my license via comity and the response from the board was "Gain additional experience or take Structural I". :brickwall: Nightmare, huh? The only reason I could see for this was that my background/education is in structural but I took the Civil (Structural PM) exam in CA.
Regardless, I knew it was pointless to protest. I called the board and was informed that there was no need to apply for the exam, just to sign up for it through ELSES, and I did. I took the Structural I exam and came out feeling like I nailed it.
So, the thing is that my name is not on the updated Georgia website and I of course take that to mean that I didn't nail it like I thought I did. My wife however, made the suggestion that since my application was out of the ordinary and that I only applied to the GA board via comity that my results may take some extra time for the board to process......something along the lines of the fact that I never actually applied for licensure by examination may cause some confusion at the GA board.
Anyone familiar with a situation like this? Is there any reason to have a glimmer of hope? My wife and I are expecting our first child in March and I don't want to have the test looming over me in April.
