Hi Everyone!
My apologies if there is already a thread similar to this, I'm new to the site.
I took the Civil PE Structural Depth Exam in Oct. 2020 and unfortunately didn't pass, however I believe I wasn't too far off, maybe just 6 or 7 more questions and I would have gotten it, but that is just a guess.
Some background: My schooling background is in Mechanical Engineering, however I enjoy structural engineering the most and I do structural engineering of precast concrete for work. I was registered to take the April 2020 exam and was taking the EET course while preparing. This was overwhelming, as I hadn't seen almost anything that is cover in the AM portion, but I learned so much! Same goes for a large chunk of the PM material, but it was at least more familiar to me from structural classes I took in school and from work. Then came the cancellation...that really messed with me, as I know it did to a lot people. I had a hard time convincing myself to sign up for October, from fear of it being cancelled again. Long story short, studying the second time was a little easier just because I had seen the material once before instead of it being all new.
So now for what I need some advice on. I did a lot of practice problems my second time studying outside of just the ones given to us by EET. Since I worked through most the material I already have, I want to get a few new books so that I have some fresh material. I was curious what study book/practice problem books were the most helpful for the people who have passed this exam? Which ones did you feel were most helpful in preparing and actually on par with the exam difficultly and question type?
