I have a Masters in CE with about 4 years of experience in transportation/land development under my belt. I recently got laid off. Besides preparing for my PE & looking for another job, I have been thinking of getting a civil 3D certification from Autodesk. If I intend to continue working in the same line of work, is it worth investing the time & resources to get civil 3D certified?

I would think that while it couldn't hurt, I don't know that it would make you more hireable.

Also, here in PA they use microstation for most traffic stuff.

Just sounds like the wrong direction after getting a Masters.
