the rail overpass that is right before my work exit was dropping rail spikes to the interstate below. Cops were standing there looking up watching for more to fall to stop traffic with the pile of collected spikes at the feet, at least enough to half fill a 5 gal bucket. at least a half dozen cars on the side of the road with flat tires and other damage.

I wonder if they recently replaced the track and then left the old spikes next to the ballast like the normally do but forgot that they need to pick them up on a bridge?

Im assuming you mean the normal RR spike that holds the track to the tie?

Well the bridge wasn't fallling apart per se...the newspaper finally reported on it. A teenager was throwing the spikes from the track down onto the interstate...so they were just laying around but had some help from something other than gravity

his parents probably voted for obama
What do the parents' politics have to do with this situation? Teens have been ******** since time immemorial.
I blame your lack of a sense of humor on Obama...Barack or Michelle...I don't care which.
I have a sense of humor; that's how I knew it wasn't funny.
Come on now, don't be racist, you would have laughed if he had said it was Bush's fault and we all know it.
