Hi,
A 16' x 40' portable steel bridge was purchased with concrete sills, and originally going to be installed level.
The plan now is to installed at a 4% grade. Anybody have any suggestions on how to mitigate for this change.
I have been told it is best to have the sills sit level and if the bridge has a grade, to have the top of sill built to accomodate that grade.
Do to time constraints this is not going to happen, and will probably build the pads under the sills to the 4% grade.
The bridge is for a permanent low volume forest road to be used for hauling logs.
Thanks in advance for any thoughts or suggestions.
