A 30-year-old Port St. Lucie High School teacher got more exposure than she was bargaining for when she alleged that she was released from her teaching contract because of her job on Smokin’ Em Charters, which offers trips with bikini-clad and topless women.
Tiffany Shepherd garnered national media attention, and an offer to pose in Playboy magazine, because of the moonlighting job the mother of three said she took to supplement her meager pay from the St. Lucie County School District, which cited her 30-plus unexcused absences and two reprimands in her personnel file rather than the blonde’s gig with the Fort Pierce-based charter service as the reason for her dismissal.

Shepherd said she turned down Playboy after learning that appearing in the magazine likely would mean she’d never teach again. She did appear on an episode of Tyra Banks’ talk show “to show that even though a woman is attractive and she’s wearing a bikini, it doesn’t mean that she is any less of a person or a teacher or a parent.”

A Florida biology teacher fired after posing for racy pictures has landed a new career – in ****ography.

Tiffany Shepherd, 31, made headlines in April after bikini-clad pictures of her on a fishing charter got her canned from Port St. Lucie High School. She turned to doing ****, she told a Florida news outlet, after losing custody of two of her three kids to her ex-husband and sending out 2,500 resumes – some even to prisons – without landing a new teaching job.

"I'm not particularly proud of it. To be honest, I hate it," Shepherd told Page2live.com. "I'm an educated woman, but I never thought it would come to this. No one gets brought up thinking they'll be a floozy."

On screen, Shepherd goes by the name Leah Lust and has filmed five feature films, including one titled ‘My first *** teacher,' where Shepherd portrays the very job she's been trying to get back.

"It's very professional," says Shepherd on the Web site. "Everyone's tested -- for venereal diseases and AIDS -- and I'm carrying around my little piece of paper that says I'm fine. They love me because I take care of myself and I don't run out to party with my money."

Shepherd got into the business after the captain of the fishing charter that got her into trouble in the first place recommended it as a way to make good money. Captain Gil Coombes, of the boat ‘Smokin ‘Em,' owns a **** Web cam studio with his wife, Kat, called KLC productions.

"We sat down with her and told her she'd never get a teaching job again," Coombes told Page2live.com

All we had were a bunch of middle aged hairspray hags. Where do the hot 22-23 year old fresh out of college girls go for 20 years before they turn up in the public school system?

They all teach kindergarten. It's just that nobody pays attention whilst pre-pubescent.

My kindergarten teachers were retired teachers, but I have noticed that what supe says tends to be true nowadays.

4 girls I graduated high school with that I know of now teach kindergarten.

I think a lot of it boils down to a) teaching kids sounds more appealing than teaching high school punks, and B) it's hard to garner respect from teenagers when you're barely any older than some of them are.

^My MIL has been a middle school teacher the past 15 years or so. Talk about getting the worst of both worlds.

Prior to that, she was a high school teacher in a rough district outside of Seattle. Their claim to fame was that a kid was conceived in the computer lab one day.

Yeah, my tenth grade history teacher was fresh out of college. She got zero respect from us. It didn't help her any that she was a former student of the school where she was teaching, so she was teaching a lot of her friends' siblings.

Plus, there was a picture of her (when she was a junior or senior) passed out in the senior parking lot dressed like a pumpkin. Hard to garner respect with that floating around.
