[SIZE=10pt]As a Senior Engineer – Submarine Combat System Infrastructure, you will be part of the dynamic team of Engineering and Project staff responsible for delivering the design, development, test, and deployment of the Common Infrastructure Subsystem. The Common Infrastructure utilises Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) virtualisation technology, [/SIZE][SIZE=10pt]computing, storage and networking functionality in shared computing environments combined with specialised bespoke sub-systems and equipment.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=10pt]Your main responsibilities as a Senior Engineer – Submarine Combat System Infrastructure will involve:[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Managing formal system requirements, including definition, decomposition and compilation of compliance evidence[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Assisting with the development of innovative certification and acceptance strategies to facilitate the exploitation of COTS technologies in a military environment[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Developing test and certification strategies and detailed test plans to gather evidence that demonstrates compliance with software and hardware (functional and non-functional) requirements[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Maintaining qualification plans and procedures to manage product acceptance testing[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Assisting with the verification and configuration of Combat System software releases[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Performing product verification and qualification testing in accordance with project schedules, processes and standards[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Documenting observations and problems revealed during testing and assisting with the investigation and identification of solutions[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Supporting equipment and software integration trials on the submarine platform[/SIZE]

- [SIZE=10pt]Qualified to at least HNC level or equivalent in an IT/engineering related discipline[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Previous experience in Systems Engineering[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Requirements management experience and accompanying requirements management toolsets such as DOORS[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Experience in testing and certifying complex systems including definition of test schedules, scenarios, scripts, environments and tools[/SIZE]
[SIZE=10pt]Your skills and qualifications as Senior Engineer – Submarine Combat System Infrastructure will ideally include:[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Experience of military products or extensive experience of resilient real-time systems[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Knowledge of COTS Infrastructure [/SIZE][SIZE=10pt](VMware/Cisco)[/SIZE][SIZE=10pt], systems architecture and networks[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Knowledge of military or aerospace engineering, certification and safety standards[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Experience of analysing problems encountered during testing and proposing solutions[/SIZE]
- [SIZE=10pt]Knowledge of computing systems and software engineering methods, such as real time network and storage systems[/SIZE]
