Hopefully not at the office. We have someone who does this every morning. It's...so rough in there for about 3 hours after.
Shouldn’t be the case if you do it right. I only heat mine up for a max of 40 seconds at a time. If they’re not fully cooked, stir and repeat. I haven’t noticed any issues at home or at work.

 
Microwaves are great. I recently figured out how to microwave eggs; this morning I microwaved some with chives, ham, and cheese.
I'm finishing up Neil deGrasse Tyson and Avis Lang's "Accessory to War." They have a long section about microwaves (history, applications, etc.), quite the miracle.
