Shady way to "reorganize". Yeah my boss randomly disappeared as well but it was obvious because the other manager dude was following him around and started dealing with me like a boss so I knew it was coming. Then 2 years later he is rehired... Weird power plays go on sometimes in the name of engineering...

This was not a reorganization, I think it was a straight up firing. The manager was really difficult to work with (all of the people in that department were miserable), and I think the receptionist may have threatened legal action.  If she hadn't told half the office she quit, she might still work here.
