My working theory for the first Star and Dot is....
Star #1 you get automatically by default, but links to Rep, still need to figure out when #2 arrives... maybe +50.
50 Posts = Dot #1, unsure on #2 yet.

Backup possibilities include: Stars are related to # of years on the forum or something else because a lot of you have 3.
