Job Description

The Sales Manager will be responsible for devising and executing a strong sales plan to achieve aggressive growth targets by winning new customers and expanding sales within the existing customer base in the UK, Ireland and Scandinavia. You will be:

  • Responsible for the entire product range within the allocated territory.
  • Tasked to develop, expand, and build high-level relationships at new and existing OEM, System Integrators and End Users to increase sales
  • Conduct prospecting and sales lead follow up activities to capture new OEM business and aggressively take market share from our competitors.
  • Develop existing customer accounts, promoting new products and growing repeat sales with the objective of achieving increased sales and market share
  • Add new distributors in uncovered geographies and market niches to drive share gain.
  • Find new application opportunities in cooperation with the Product Management team.
  • Drive the sales process by offering both standard products and customised solutions.
  • Report and document progress based on the salesman standard work procedures established
  • Provide "Voice of Customer" to drive new product development and the creation of new/improved services to grow sales
The Successful Applicant

The Successful Sales Manager will be a strong Business Developer with the ability to open doors and aggressively generate new business to fit with growth plans. You will have:

  • An academic background in an Electrical Engineering or related technical field
  • Knowledge and experience in automation/industrial control products
  • The ability to demonstrate value selling capability
  • A proven track record of consistently achieving profitable sales and market share growth targets
  • Ability to work independently, effective time management and personal organisation
  • Excellent teamwork and communication with customer, customer service and engineering
