I think it's the equivalent of PE in the ??, ??, ??, and some other English speaking countries.

Yes I am. You have to start with becoming a member of IET. That is a simple process. Once you are member, for registration; filling of the application is major part, it is quite detailed. Then they will conduct a skype interview based on the application contents. Not very tough but yes lot of inputs are required.
