Which scandal? There have been several. This one is just a continuation of the govenor scandal really. The school maintained a list of students for admission that were politically connected but had absolutely no chance in hell of getting accepted on their own accord. The school admitted these connected students over students who actually had the scores/grades. trustees knew it was going on and did nothing to stop it. It probably happens all the time all over, but with the pay to play bad juju karma that has been floating around the state, it just made people a little more sensitive.
The law school is being looked at for a switch too. They basically said we have several graduating students who most likely will not pass the bar and get a job on their own, if you hire them we will admit your less than stellar child/friend etc... The law school didn't want to ruin their record for graduates having job etc...
