Pretty sure Paul Krugman is one of "them". I wouldn't listen to him.

Anyhoo, it's pretty optimistic to think that a bunch of puny humans could take on a race that had mastered interstellar space travel. We'd be toast, unless a nasty virus came along to take them out for us.

Since climate change caused the Grand Canyon, maybe wherever they set up their base will be where another Grand Canyon forms in another billion years and then earth can claim victory!
