    MD Mechanical Exam Study Materials

I would plus one Dr. Tom and the NCEES practice exam. I studied Thermal and Fluids and only used those same three items.

@Shadyplay PE 2015 I'm sorry to hear that. It's tough. I studied 3 hrs a night from May to October and know how it feels to neglect family. It's tough on the wife especially.  Don't give up! I know engineers at my job who got it on the fourth and fifth tries.

    12mA?

Sorry, I should be more specific. The idea is to recharge a 10mAh LiPo battery that is onbaord the insect. I stipulate 12mA because of C is 10mA and 2mA are required for the IC. However, time to charge is not as important as weight though. The chip already regulates voltage/current depending...

    funny pic thread

Yeah, its kinda small and not really good, but you can see "it." Just keep trying.

    funny pic thread

These next two I was able to see relatively easily: Using the tree as the outline, you can see a fetus with the head on the left and feet curled up on the right. if you rotate the picture so that the right edge becomes the bottom and using the reflection of the lake, you can see what...

    12mA?

Yea, I know. 1 gram is a pretty difficult design parameter. I am trying to recharge a battery that is mounted onboard a flying microrobot which itself weighs 120mg. Basically I need 5V and 12mA to power that chip and can use any transmitter necessary to get from A to B. efficiency is not...

    12mA?

Hello all, I am working on a project that requires 12mA using wireless power techniques. I want to power a LTC4054l IC and for the specific battery capacity and IC supply requirements I need 12mA. Any suggestions? My size requirements are extremely tight (ideally <1g). I have tried solar...

    Bachelor of Arts plus FE

Thanks for all the help. I figured as much. It appears not getting the accredited degree adds two years onto PE license path in all the states I want to live in.... Oh well....I'll be so glad when this is done.

    Bachelor of Arts plus FE

    1. The BA at my school is not accredited. 2. Since I am still in college I do not know what state I will live in once I am working, etc I have taken the same courses as a BS at my school. The only difference is the thesis. I actually have more course credits than necessary for either track...

    Bachelor of Arts plus FE

Interesting reads. I cam across the WPI one before. The RPI one is refreshing. I suppose we don't have enough training in the art of engineering, which truly describes the craft I believe. I hope to hear from someone on these boards who took this route or knows of anyone who has done a BA in...

    Bachelor of Arts plus FE

No, same courses as the SB track, just no thesis.

    Bachelor of Arts plus FE

My school and many others offer the option. I am sure others have done it. I am curious if there are dire consequences if I don't get a BS. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Bachelor of Arts plus FE

Hey, I am curious. Would getting a BA in Engineering as opposed to a BS be tantamount to career suicide in engineering despite passing the FE? My life is in the balance here.... Thanks
