I have a hard time believing Michigan is still not out yet and I'm surprised there is no chatter on the board.

I'm surprised Michigan is taking so long. They are usually out by the first or second day.

Its actually until 6 and then you can stay after and ask questions if you need additional help. They were long weekends I will admit but there are a lot of breaks where you do problems on your own and they give lunch breaks and general breaks.

I'm surprised we haven't heard about Michigan in here. It doesn't look like they released results.

School of PE is my recommendation because I took it and passed last April after I failed the previous October.

Texas was first in the Spring also

Happened to me once. It was a bad Christmas last year and I was really down especially knowing I had to restudy but I did and I passed. Not the end of the world but I have felt the frustration.

Thats not true. The PE is generally released 1-2 weeks after the FE. I would guess the week of Dec 17th. Good luck to everyone. I went through the same shit. Its stressful but you will be in PE glory once you found out you passed.

I took it online and it was well run and would not hesitate to take another online course from them. Thankfully, I passed the PE.

I'm just excited that I passed last Spring and don't have to suffer with all this madness. The worst part of the test is the waiting of the actual results.

The bonus transportation session was gold. A couple problems we talked about were very similar to the test. Also, you get helpful tips on possible trick problems. I think I was good for 3-4 problems in that bonus session that I probably wouldn't have gotten.

I took general for the afternoon. To me it was easier because it was a continuation of the morning and I didn't have to study civil. Passed the PE the following year so it worked out in case anyone is worried that they won't be prepared for the PE.

I think at most you'll get 1 question from the ITE so that could be skipped. The PE has had a lot of concrete questions the last two exams so the PCA does come in handy.

In Michigan you can take it before your experience.

You need a Green Book, Highway Capacity Manual, Roadside Design Guide, MUTCD, and possibly a few other ones.

A lot of people I know retired and work for consultants making $60 hour. Consultants love them because they can help get them govt contracts and they don't have to pay benefits.

Totally agree. The OP already says he's working for a 4 man firm and makes 30% less than the govt pay. I'm going to bet his benefits are likely awful too. I would run and run fast.

Its a risk you take for possibly 1 or 2 questions. I felt it was important enough to spend money to buy it because I wanted to pass it. I did pass the test but didn't use it on my second attempt. I actually had both 5th and 6th edition with me at the test. I'm selling mine in the yard sale...

Actually there are some differences but nothing earth blowing. I didn't even open the book up once during the pe but I did use it the first time I took the test in the fall. I did feel that the 6th Ed was needed for the fall because surprisingly they have different content.

The AM I agree but not really the PM for transportation because it is more specific and I thought the questions both times were fairly similar in scope. Luckily, I don't have to see what a third test would look like.
