I seem to remember in college that the delta is supposed to lead the wye by 30deg to meet an ANSI spec. Does anyone know that specification number and where it is? Can't seem to find it. Thanks

Oh, and study the NEC. The practice exam from NCEES was very similar to the one I took, but I didn't study the NEC enough. If you buy anything else, make sure you buy an NEC handbook. Don't forget about the NEC.

I think each person is different, but when I was studying this stuff I leaned heavily on my college texts and notes. So I would take a look at them if you have them, if not the ones I liked were the ones you mentioned above, and the texts: Power System Analysis and Design (Glover Sarma)...

I'm not rich, but $130 isn't a big deal. Hear me out; how much time and energy are you expending studying for this test? Additionally, I sold all the books I didn't want in about 2 days on amazon after I found out I passed. So even if you buy it for $130 and hate it, you can probably still...

Huh. I've been using "pour" and never gotten any crap over it. Professionals I work with use it as well, first time I've heard this. (I'm also electrical though, and as long as it's supporting my conductor, don't really care!) I don't pour coffee though. Can't stand the stuff. ;)
