Sorry for the really late reply. HVAC 6 min solution number 52 is similar to what am confused about. They used Cp delta T for the water side. I used m*hfg and the results are incorrect. Please explain if possible.

Is there specific situation when m*cp*del T is not advised when solving problems? I did a few problems and gotte them wrong when I used this formula, especially when dealing with air.  Any input will be appreciated.

My confidence level in HVAC design is not that strong. Hence choosing TFS. Like I said, i mostly do Plumbing and very simple HVAC. But I do understand the fundamentals. Dont really feel comfortable with the ASHRAE books but i guess its time to get comfortable.

I am but I haven’t done very complex systems designs. I do mostly plumbing and fp. The HVAC ive done is mostly straight forward designs, fans and split systems.

Yes, this is my second time. The April test was harder in the morning than the afternoon. I will weight both tests about the same. There were more unit conversion problems now than in April. 

The NCEES practice exams we too easy and very misleading. I did lots of SMS problems and also lindenburg questions. Additionally, I got a copy of SlayThePE questions, and did those.  I will say the complexity of the Slay questions are more representative of the actual test.

Thanks for your response. So it appears that they are treating the steam at stage 2 as a super heated steam. Based on the solutions, h(exit) is read from the super heated tables, however, h(es) is read from the Mollier's Diagram. Why is that?

How much for just the MERM 13th Ed?

Should I invest in MERM 13th? I used the 12th Ed MERM on the exam and i wasn't successful. Based on what I've read so far, there seems to be very little difference between the two. Also, is anyone willing to sell their 13th Ed.

I keep refreshing my page, hoping by some miracle, it will change from "red" to "green". I didn't know I would be this bummed out. I haven't failed am exam in a very long time, so I guess I've forgotten all the defeated feelings it comes with. That gut punch feeling. Sorry, but I just need to rant.
