I know there is lot of Protection material out there but can anyone tell which one is the best book to review for the exam ? I have all of them but I definitely dont have the time to go through them all. I have studied from Blackburn for Protection course I took in my MS class, definitely not...

Looks like a good plan. How much time did it take you to read all the questions and mark them based on difficulty ?

Difficult in the sense the pdf might not have all the things you need to solve a problem, not the overall difficulty of the exam itself.

I believe it will be more difficult. I remember when I took the FE exam with the NCEES provided PDF, not all information or formulas were available.

Did anyone study from the IEEE buff book ? I haven't taken a look at it but I believe it wont explain concepts like in a textbook. Can anyone who has reviewed it share their experience ?

I have read on the posts that the real exam was way more difficult than the NCEES sample exam, is it always the same case or just October 18 ?

Can anyone who had done complex imaginary explain the test 1 problem 52 ? Im confused why the given voltage is divided by root 3. No where in the problem is given its Wye connected. 

I agree with you. I started off my preparation with Graffeo and sample problems rather than going through the text books. I plan on looking at the areas where I dont have proper or complete understanding of the subject and touch those parts from respective textbooks.

How did you study from the Textbooks you mentioned ? Did you just look for the topics those particular books are known for or the whole book inside out ? I know Wildi is good for Machines & Transformers and I plan to just touch that, not sure if thats the right approach.

What kind of tabs are allowed and what are not allowed in the exam ? Also can someone advice on what is the best way to tab and howmuch ? I have never tabbed before so just wanted to know the ideal way of doing it. 

Can the recent pass outs shed some light on the sequence of books to follow for exam ? I plan on taking it in April & have just begun with Graffeo and plan on working on Wildi next followed by NCEES and complex imaginary practice tests. Not sure if this is the right approach.
