Does anyone have any experience getting licensed in Canada? We have a job in Nova Scotia and there doesnt seem to be a straight forward path.

Perfect advise. I would add a very complete unit conversion book and an exam week schedule of light review Tuesday, packing Wednesday and a nice dinner with your signifcant other Thursday. If you don't know it by Monday, it is too late. Plan on 3 months and 300 hrs.

shigley has bearing life stuff and better gear sections than merm. i could have passed with merm and the unit conversion book alone. machinery handbook, mark's handbook and shigley i used once each any problem book (merm practice probs, ncees tests or 6ms) are useless unless you know them...

In :wv: My MERM was covered with notes in pencil. No issues for me. Just be aware where the tip of your pencil is at all times and you shouldn't have a problemm(except in Illinois).

I have both books. I would buy 6MS, but not Lindeburg exam.

Please don't ask (or tell) about if a certain type of question was on the exam or not. I know that it wasn't copying a question, but with the NCEES I wouldn't enter even the lightest shade of gray area.

Krak, stop buying books until you have finished the MERM practice problems and 6MS. You have plenty of material.

I took the ME machine design, it was random order. I obviously can not speak to if this holds true on the Civil exam.

If you know MERM cold, do 6MS & the ncees tests, you will be fine. I had 300 hrs in and was adequetly prepared. Welcome to your obsession for the next 3 months!
