I don't have the ACI reference handy, but you can strip flatwork as soon as doing so doesn't cause the concrete to deform. Hours or days, not weeks.

Google words like "multiple choice", "psychometrics", "key-balanced", etc., and you'll see there's more to this discussion than anal retentiveness.

I think that's a bad idea, both here and in general... while you can often take a shortcut by neglecting small factors, it's a bad habit if you don't understand each and every one made, and the impact to process. What's tripping you up here? There are only two preliminary steps to this...
