The four shots over a month are an actual vaccine. The other shots are human immunoglobulin which helps my immune system fight the virus before the vaccine is effective.

Just got 6 shots. 5 in one arm, one in the other. 4 more shots to go over the next month and then I can go fight rabid animals with no fear of getting rabies. Awesomeness.
