New Code for Spring 2014 Seismic test

Ok, so I have the new ASCE 7-10 and have access to IBC 2012/CBC 2013. I also just got the new Hiner book. I also have all for of those references based onthe previous code cycle. However, where on the CA board site does it say which codes the test is currently based on? I know they are being...

PE Civil Design Standards: What Do You REALLY Need?

I'll admit, I didn't purchase any of them. I had most, but found them as pdf's online using google search and printed them. I referenced several of them in the afternoon. Depends on your depth section, but I had to use the ACI 318 and OSHA handbook a few times for construction depth. I think...

    Application Approval in CA

^ Agreed. I think they are still within their specified time. Most of my collegues that have applied this cycle haven't gotten a response. The last time I applied for a april exam, I got a resonse mid Feb. Not sure when the NCEES regristration period is, but you will have to send them proof...

Civil Engineer - State Specific Exams

Does anyone know which states (if any) besides California have state specific exams that must be taken prior to licensure as a Civil Engineer? I am licensed in mechanical and electrical already and have also passed the 8 hour civil exam. However, when I try explaining to my collegues or boss...

Failed Exam - Register for April 2014

Ha! This is proprietary information held by NCEES. The only way would be for someone to have sneaked them out... in which case the NCEES would crucify you in court if discovered!

    California!

You must realize that the database is updated every night according to the website. As people renew their licenses, they expire, ect... the next CIVIL engineer will have that number. However, it is very possible that the others have been updated already since they did not have to wait for...

    California!

Agreed! A very substantial amount of EITs will never achieve PE status. This could be due to not getting the qualifying experience, unable to pass the exam, or simply not interested. As an EIT you have no legal authority to practice. IMHO it is presumptuous to put EIT in your title block...

    PE Civil California Requirements

Do you already have an EIT certificate from another state? If so, you don't need to apply for one from CA. They will accept that on. Regarding your question about your experience abroad... it really depends on the rules set forth by each individual state. Some may, some may not. You will...

    PE Civil California Requirements

I looked into this type of scenario sometime ago. Yes, you appear to be correct in your interpretation with a small caveat. When the rules were written originally they stated that the undergraduate degrees and graduate degrees needed to be ABET accredited in order to receive full credit...

    California!

I think it depends on what discipline. For the non-civil exams they will probably update the data base tonight and you will be able to see them in the morning... At least that is how it was when I did Electrical 2.5 years ago. However, for civil they have to wait for the state specific exams...
