    NCEES RECORD - Employment Verification

They only require verification for the engineering experience. If you have enough in the U.S. list it as NON engineering experience and you won't have to get verification. Best thing to do on #2 is just call the NCEES and ask them. The lady I talked to was very helpful.

    Passed, Pay Raise?

I can't imagine an engineer with a PE even considering working for 40 or 50k. You can get a job with MUCH less stress and responsibility making that. A journeyman of just about any trade will make that easily. Kindergarten teachers make that. Try construction. When I moved to the...

    NCEES Records/DC Licensing Application

Georgia now requires and NCEES record for reciprocity. It is SUPER easy with a record in GA. It's done 100% electronically. Took 20 mins tops. I got my license in a week.

    test resuts

Probably system analysis. Like with the different bus types, remember? The first part, I'm not sure. I'd just study all of Transmission and Distribution some more. If you used the MVA method on the protection part, you might need to brush up on your per unit. You have to know per unit for...

For those who passed the PE ...

And my point is that her post had nothing to do with whether her company should give her a raise or not. She didn't ask if they should or not. She said they aren't and she wants a new job and asked for recommendations on where to relocate.

For those who passed the PE ...

Is there any reason that matters? She's looking for a new job and area to live in. I got a raise for mine, and, if I didn't, I would find a new job too. Cost of living in the southeast low most places. Even Atlanta will seem very low to someone coming from NY. Just visit and are a few times...

    complex imaginary exams any good?

Worth doing, but don't expect any exam type problems on them. I think most of the practice stuff sucks to be honest. The NCEES practice exam is best and it isn't even that good.

    Concise Reference for Fault Calculations

Google "Short Circuit ABC - Learn it in an Hour, Use It Anywhere, Memorize No Formula" It's by Moon H. Yuen. It is the MVA method. Use it. You will never use per unit for fault current calcs again.

    Passed the PE Power Exam!

I did not have the same ref. material, but if I had to take it again I would use archian99's stuff. I was wishing I had the Wildi book BADLY. I did poorly on the drives problems due to a lack of good ref. material.

    Sample Exams - Power PE

I'm sure he means that the questions were on subjects that were not even hinted at on the practice tests, but I'm guessing you knew that.

    Passed, Pay Raise?

I know disciplines and geography change things a bit, but I live in the south where cost of living is very low and I haven't gotten my PE yet. After cost of living raises this winter, I'll be just over 80k not counting my per diem. If you have your PE and don't make $60k, I'd dust off my...
