This volume includes alternate item type (AIT) questions. According to NCEES, this October 2020 PE test will be the last of the pencil and paper standard A,B,C,D multiple choice test. Even though this test volume includes AIT questions, it will still be a great tool and reference for the upcoming October 2020 exam. I attempt to keep the all the problems original and different than previous versions. So if you are looking for a new set of questions for the upcoming exam in October, look no further.

@Cram For The PE, Is this mean that not all the questions on this sample test will have ABCD multiple choices?

For volume IV that is correct. Some will just be "give answer to nearest tenth". Others will be "Select all that apply". Others will be the standard A,B,C,D one choice.
