Zoning Analysis fair price (New York City)

Good day. A home owner wants to maximize the residential use of his two family house in Queens, NY. A zoning analysis is required, it is just 2 drawings with some calcs. What's the fair price for that? He first wants to know if there's room to expand, if so, the zoning analysis will be submitted to DOB for approval, then it will have the PE sign and signature.

This isn't even something a PE needs to sign, a planner could do that.

What is this going to take you? 3 hours tops??

Here in NY a PE or RA seal/sign is required: http://www.nyc.gov/html/bsa/downloads/pdf/forms/zoning_analysis_revised_march_2005.pdf

3 hours may be a bit short to calculate areas and to do the drawings, I'd say 4 min. But, how about price per hour?

See the other thread about LD fees. If you need to seal these, I feel there is a minimum threshold you need to hold. I'd go $2K for something like this, just to make it worth your while. Maybe a little lighter if you can get the design work out of this.

I've seen similar work done in NYC for $2-$3K
