Lindeburg’s Practice Problem for 10th edition Chap 26; Problem no. 9(a)

Problem is asking for hardness treatment of 109 mg/l of Calcium Bicarbonate.

According to my understanding-109 mg/l as CaCO3 does not need to change it to as substance. Because

we are adding it up with CaO of 30mg/l as CaCO3.

My answer is 1200 lbm.

Lineburg's answer is 930 lbm.

Can you please clarify it for me?

Thanks in advance.
