TSS Removal

I'm just wondering if anyone else has run into this issue. I have done the long efficinecy calculation to determing 80% TSS removal and the corresponding particle size is 5.86 mirons. Now I'm getting conflicting requirements that say I have to settle the 5 micron particle, which is providing more than 80% removal efficinecy. Any suggestions on how to handle the delima? :dunno:

Ummm... Sorry I can't help, especially since water treatment is what I do... I feel rather ignorant, but... what is the Long Efficiency Calculation?
