Have any of you transferred your license from Connecticut to New York State (Or any other state to New York State for that matter)? According to the New York website you can transfer your license by filling out their forms OR you can apply with an NCEES record. Which one would you recommend and why? I am curious which application method is the least time consuming and takes the least amount of time to transfer. Thanks for the help!

You don't "transfer" your license between states, you apply for a new one in the new state.  Some state allow comity, where they will issue a license based on your experience and testing as documented by another state that has issued a PE license.  If you have questions on a particular state, the best source of information is to contact that licensing board directly and ask them.

I suspect that the NCEES record would take longer to process than dealing directly with the NY board.  However an NCEES record is recognized by a number of state boards, so if you think you may apply for other licenses in the future it may not be a bad idea to get a record now.
