I'm in favor of High Speed rail, but its really not a good time to be building it. The money could easily be used for other much needed infrastructure improvements. These both create jobs, but the High Speed rail is more of a "Luxury" improvement and should be built on better economic times, whereas there's tons of high priority improvements needed- at least there are where I live.
