I recently found this table (attached pdf) that summarizes compaction equipment and methods. Be warned, its from 1982, but if I would have found it prior to my exam, I would have taken it in....and it would have been useful to me.
Another idea is to make your own chart/add on to this chart and/or update it as necessary.
