Hello all,

I have a questions about when you use the angle or 30 degree shift on changing between line and phase voltage on 3 phase ac problems. From what I understand you would use the 30 degree shift if the problem states that the voltage is either source or load voltage, if the problem states that the voltage is line voltage with no angle, then you would not get a 30 degrees shift is this correct? This gets even more confusing when you add in a complex load and are asked for line current, so can anyone confirm if this thought process is correct and if not explain what is correct.

Thanks

TH
