Worked this problem out and my answer didn't match solution?

For normal depth, I got 4.11 cfs. Solution has 3.36 ft.

Where did I go wrong?

I recommend you use can's hp formula.

here are my calcs using kings table...

H/V = 2/1

S = 0.0016

using Q = K/n*D^8/3*S^1/2

K ~ 0.0848 (kings table)

D/b = 0.168

D = 3.36 ft

Post your solution so that we can see the mistake.

I used H:V of 1.5 instead of 2.

An obvious mistake if I would have compared my handwritten solution to that of the stated problem. Mistakes like this frustrate me beyond belief!!!!!!!!!!! This is probably why I am on my third try

Thank you to all for your help
