I work construction and we are starting some test sections using Polycon. It is a mixture of cement, polymer, water, & granite or quartz. It runs about $50,000 a mile and was way more expensive than chipseals. Due to the higher asphalt costs, it is now competetive and we're trying it out.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I have some concerns that the owner tells me I should not worry about. He is a salesman though.
I'm concerened about: 1) shrinkage, resistance to reflective cracking, durability, life span, skid resistance just to name some.
Any insight would be helpful, thanks.
